Despite the frigid weather, I embarked on a hike halfway up Mount Valin to capture the sunset. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the temperature plummeted to -40 degrees Celsius without the wind chill, rendering me completely frozen. I still had to wait 45 minutes for sunset, dispite the cold. To make matters worse, my camera and ball head were frozen and malfunctioning, making it difficult to find the ideal composition. Surprisingly, the thick haze diffused the light beautifully and I was able to capture the image with just enough battery.
